Into the New Year, and we have a new neighbor!

Susan Marie Designs has taken up the space next to us that was formally Karmasonics. Her gallery looks  beautiful and is sure to be a great compliment to Ariel.

Biltmore Ave is continuing to be the downtown destination for fine craft and it just keeps getting better.

Steve Noggle is on PBS!!

Carolina Home + Garden , Featured Article

Featured in the Summer edition of Carolina Home + Garden is
a wonderful article on Paul Weller and his Stainless Steel work.
The article has some excellent photos of some current work
and workshop were they are created. As well as an excellent
story about the artist.
You can easily find a copy around town, and we have several
copies at the gallery for you to look at.
Don’t worry if you miss it, the article will appear later on their online site

Experience the thriving craft scene in Asheville

Sherry Masters and American Craft Week have released an awesome short video entitled “Experience the thriving craft scene in Asheville”.  It’s a really wonderful promotion of Asheville and Ariel is beautifully featured in it.
Take a few moments to view and enjoy it.

Warmer climates for winter….Where are our artists….

As Asheville is enjoying cold weather and the downtown is seemingly quiet,

Some of our members are off enjoying warmer climates. As you may be aware, all of us here at

Ariel, are often representing ourselves and Ariel Craft Gallery at events all over the

country.

Currently The Parmientiers, Shirl and Jim, can be found in Florida. They will

be at the Sanibel Rotary Art Festival  Feb 13-14. www.sanibelartfair.com

Steven Forbes-deSoule is hosting a Raku workshop at the The Ocean Reef Art League – Key Largo, Florida

http://oceanreefartleague.com/workshops.html

Also Paul Weller will be at the American Craft Council Baltimore show. Feb 19th -21st.  This is their flagship show.

But whether that is going to be is a warmer climate remains to be seen.

Meanwhile back here in Asheville its business as usual at the gallery ( winter business hours of course)

So drop by and say Hello!!
