I have been designing and building functional,contemporary furniture full time since 1981. I grew up near Charlotte, but came to Western North Carolina to study woodworking at Haywood Community College. Now, in my studio near Black Mountain, I build furniture and accessories in fine hardwoods, both local and from around the world.

My design focus is on the curves; from the gently bowed table tops with curved, tapered legs to the support curve of the rocking chair back.

Much of my work is commissioned by the customer; most of my designs can be built in woods and dimensions of the customers’ choice for that special place in the home.
